CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL

 

The 49th annual Christmas Tree Festival takes place from Wednesday December 1

through Sunday, December 5 at the Allen County Museum. Enjoy beautifully

decorated trees submitted by dozens of local businesses and organizations and

vote on the ones you like the best. There will be plenty of activities for the entire

family as well:

Live entertainment in the Museum's Folsom Auditorium is scheduled throughout

the festival and will include caroling, storytelling, high school ensembles,

elementary school choirs, bands, organ music on the Page Theater organ,

and other specialty groups.  

                                                    Enjoy the children's art exhibit from Lima City Elementary Schools in the

                                                    auditorium.

                                                    Take your children to visit Evergreen, the Talking Tree, on the lower level.

                                                    Stop to see demonstrations of woodcarving and rug hooking on Saturday and                                                                      Sunday.

                                                    Listen to The Polar Express read by Ann Miller on Friday evening and Sunday                                                                        afternoon by the Shay Train.

                                                    Do some holiday  shopping at the Little Children's Shoppe, the Bake Shoppe,                                                                      and the Holiday Boutique.

                                                    Purchase a digital photo with the family and create a new holiday keepsake                                                                          photo.

                                                   Visit the changing gallery to decorate fingerprint plaques and continue a                                                                       tradition!

 

 The Christmas Tree Festival is cooperatively sponsored by the Allen County Historical Society, Church Women  United and Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District.

To participate, please complete this entry form no later than October 29, 2021. 

SET-UP: Monday, November 29, 2021 - 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Please bring your own extension cords.

 

TAKEDOWN: Monday, December 6, 2021 - 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (If you are unable to take the tree down on this day, please designate someone else to do so or call to make other arrangements.  If the tree is not picked up by December 15th it will be removed and become the property of the CTF Committee.)
